From Sun Avoidance Awareness to Psychotic Narrative Medicine

2008/05/23 – 2:00 pm

This week’s medical blogwatch…

Poking fun at a reminder to be aware of the sun next week from the Canadian Dermatology Association. I think it would be more effective to promote sunscreen usage as a way to protect your tattoos.

Using computers and sending snail mail to patients in an attempt to improve prevention services results. Why not use email to send reminders to the patients? That would cut costs and save trees.

About banning handguns in Canada. We should also ban other killers of Canadians -cigarettes, potato chips and poutine.

Narrative medicine and paranoid psychosis. I think ‘narrative medicine’ is an oxymoron just like ‘MacFilet Mignon’.
